A Bit More About Me

Courtney grew up in a small town in Maine, where she spent her childhood climbing trees, building snow forts, and exploring the woods. That early connection to nature continues to shape both her life and her work.

Before becoming an occupational therapist, she earned her degree in psychology and special education. She also worked in outdoor education, coordinating and leading group trips across activities such as hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing, and guiding whitewater rafting. These experiences deepened her belief in the power of connection, challenge, and growth in natural environments.

Now based in Alaska, Courtney integrates nature as a co-facilitator in therapy, creating opportunities for movement, regulation, curiosity, and confidence to develop in meaningful, real-world contexts.

Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, hiking, rafting, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
